Botanica News
Many of you will remember I am already working on the sequel to Anatomica, which will have two versions: Botanica & Verdana. The court card artwork is already completed and the Aces look AMAZING. Amal has outdone herself with the artwork and I will start sharing more once my current Ink Beast campaign winds down.
At this point, I am expecting to release Botanica this summer and I can't wait for you to meet the new characters!

GILDED Alterna Pre-Orders & Website Launch // Ink Beast Launch

Greetings!
I have been so excited to see my European backers receiving their decks after a looooooong battle with customs. I want to thank Jocu for getting those decks out of customs jail and doing some amazing work.
I have all of the extra decks from the campaign and will be offering them on my website beginning on Monday, October 11th at 12:00pm (noon), Pacific Time.
Why does the time matter?
Because the gilded decks will be numbered in order of when you place the order. There will be 200 available, so there should be plenty for those interested but the lowest numbers will go fast. This is your chance to hop on the pre-order for the gilded deck and any other Anatomica/Alterna decks you might want to stock up on for Christmas gifts.
Also, I will have uncut sheets, a few carat case displays, and a few coins to snag. Check it out on Monday!
INK BEAST LAUNCH

Anatomica has escaped customs jail! SHIPPING UPDATE

Greetings! I bring good news: Anatomica has been cleared through customs after a 40-day journey from the US. I am insanely grateful for Jocu's expertise and assistance to help get these cleared as there were a lot of issues with the shipment that put everything under heavy scrutiny. Anthony has the decks in-hand and is already busy preparing the rewards for those of you who have been incredibly patient. Here is the timeline:
UK - Shipping Monday, October 4th
EU - Shipping Tuesday, October 4th
Remaining International Orders - Shipping by the end of next week around October 8th. There is a bit of extra paperwork to get those shipped, so Anthony is requesting a few more days for preparation.
There is a small handful of backers in the US who have seen their shipments caught up in the system. I am still working with my US shipping partner to determine how to release those, so I thank you for your continued patience and I will be reaching out privately with those individuals to get things moving.

Shipping Update - Europe & Rest of World

Greetings!
I wanted to share a small but important update regarding the shipping for the rest of my backers who have yet to receive their rewards. I got a message this morning from Jocu regarding the process and journey the packages have to endure as they make their way through Italian customs.
QUICK SUMMARY:
- The packages arrived in Italy in August
- No movement until Sep. 15th when they moved to the next phase of customs clearance
- Jocu got a call from customs on 9/21 which signals the final leg of customs clearance
- The Italian Post will deliver the packages to Jocu as soon as they complete their process.
We are getting closer and I share in your frustration, trust me. I am relieved to learn they weren't lost after entering the country. I will share another update once Jocu has your decks so THANK YOU for your continued patience.
LONGER EXPLANATION (if you are bored)
As I mentioned in the previous update, the packages were received in August with no updates since August 31st. This news had me anxious. Anthony (Jocu) assured me this was not out of the ordinary and to be patient as he worked to contact the Italian Post. Unfortunately, there is a strict (and very bureaucratic) process when it comes to customs in Italy and communication with the receiver (Jocu) is nearly impossible to establish until they are ready.
It's possible that Jocu's attempts to reach out helped move things to the next phase as the status updated on September 15th from "Departed Milan, Italy" to a more official status of "Italy, Customs Clearance". This was good to see and confirmed that the packages still existed. During this process Jocu learned about a secure email he would need to use to attempt contact and update the Italian Post with any details they may need for clearance. After sending this secure email, Jocu finally got a response this morning (September 21st) that they have what they need to proceed with the final stage of customs clearance.
This is good news and frustrating news. The packages are progressing, but you still have to be patient as they wrap up the process and Jocu distributes the decks across Europe and beyond. We are nearing the end of my September fulfillment goal and I am saddened that you will likely see these in October. Delays are inevitable with Kickstarter and I can't help but feel helpless as I watch these international orders creep along when I just want you to have your decks already!
