Greetings Anatomicans!
This is the final push and I couldn't be more excited to get production started. I am already working with USPCC and Cartamundi to prep the files and to get things moving forward.
$22,000 was a secret stretch goal of mine, so I want to announce another enhancement to the decks: INTERIOR PRINTING! Anatomica will have interior printing and Alterna will actually have interior foil! I will keep the interior design as a fun surprise but it will be a nice enhancement to the experience for everyone.
** *GILDING & UNCUT SHEETS* * *
I have had quite a few questions about gilding and uncut sheets. The short answer is: YES, there will be both, but not as part of the campaign.
Gilding is a fantastic feature and I own many gilded decks. Unfortunately, gilding can cause huge delays to a campaign. The majority of collectors prefer gilding, so I don't want the campaign to be held hostage while we wait for the few who do and I would rather deliver all of the rewards to all backers at the same time. I plan to gild the Alterna deck, so the cards will be the same and the tuck will be the same with some subtle changes to indicate that it's a gilded deck. (see render below)
Uncut sheets are a fun way to see the deck completely laid out in a format that is easy to frame. Shipping logistics for uncut sheets can be tricky so will not be adding the option to the campaign either.
That being said, both options will become available on the Anatomica Playing Cards website after campaign fulfillment (www.anatomicaplayingcards.com). It keeps the campaign running smoothly and gives folks the opportunity to pick up some fun enhancements to the campaign after seeing the decks first-hand.
The Gilded Alterna concept will feature diagonal cutouts to give a peek into the deep red gilding.

I come bearing updates. First of all - thank you for the ongoing support! We are over 123% funded and there are now over 350 backers for this campaign! Wow!
It's been a great week. The Alterna prototype just arrived (finally!) and the Reggie sticker is a ton of fun. Please take a moment to watch this video to get a personal look at the Alterna deck:
Also, you can now add-on the new Anatomica coin, starring your favorite goofball: Reggie!
Please keep in mind, this is just a Photoshop render. I tried my best to show what the concept of the coin is, but the final version will be different and it will be super nifty. Also, this coin is FREE for backers of the brick or split-brick! For those of you who wish to add a coin, you can click or tap the button to manage your pledge.
If you are on the mobile app, you will need to tap on Manage. There will be a menu with three dots on the upper-right of the screen that has the option "Choose Another Reward". SELECT THE SAME REWARD and hit continue. Then you will see the add-on screen to add a coin or carat case display. It's important to select the same reward, especially if you have an Early Bird (EB) deal.

We have reached the funding goal! Assuming this funding level holds through the end of the project, these will become a reality. THANK YOU for all of your support and help spread the word in case others are on the fence. All they need is a slight nudge or a polite shove. Not enough to break a bone, mind you. The Origin
In the meantime, please consider supporting a fascinating art project by my good friends over at Skymember Presents. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an early review set back in the summer of 2020 and they were finally able to release this project into the wild.
